What is Pediatric Dentistry?
Pediatric Dentistry is a speciality of dentistry that is dedicated on the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. It requires additional experience and qualification to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout various stages of childhood.
Why do I need to take my kid to a dentist with Pediatric experience?
Children are not small adults. Children need special and proper care to ensure they avoid any decay and disease which can cause a lifetime of pain and complications.
Infants start by getting their baby teeth within the first 6 months. By the time they are 6 or 7 years old, they will lose their baby teeth which then is replaced by their permanent teeth. Without proper care during this process, there is a possibility for tooth decay and disease.
